[edit] Giant vipers of Africa

Sometimes, you run into references to the giant vipers of Africa. It's nothing official, but you sometimes see it on the Internet and I'm sure I've seen it in literature before. I guess the giant vipers would normally be B. arietans, B. gabonica and B. nasicornis, but I have yet to discover who first used this description. If it wasn't meant to be precise, I feel B. parviocula, should be added to this list, as according to Spawls and Branch (1995) it probably grows to over 1 m in length (definitely not one of the smaller species). --Jwinius 18:43, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
