[edit] Bishops

I have added the early bishops and their possible dates from Handbook of British Chronology. Some may be fictional.

Is it really correct to refer to the earlier bishops as "Anglican"? Surely they were Catholic!

I would suggest that the list should be a separate article, without any reference to sects.

Hovite 23:15, 26 September 2005 (UTC) Surley there canot have been any doubt about the religious convictions of the early English Church. The Normans were at the crusades that is where the Romanesque style of Architecture derived from and many of the post 1066 religious structures in England. If the Normans participated in the crusades they must have recognised the pope. Was62.136.96.38 19:14, 10 December 2006 (UTC) there a word for Anglican in Saxon or Norman times?

This was settled elsewhere, the terminology is to be avoided -- SECisek 09:01, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
