Talk:Bishop Brennan

Could someone explain the reference to the cast of Police Academy in the text? --duncan 21:03, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure you would convey this in the text, but when he refers to Police Academy he is being deliberately sarcastic. I seem to remember in that particular episode Ted laughing at the wisecrack, only to realise that the Bishop was not amused. The reference to "the cast of Police Academy" has a double meaning, playing on the comedy series Police Academy- which is fairly farcical- in relation to how Ted and Dougal try to monitor Jack's sleepwalking with CCTV.

[edit] "Right Reverend"

Removed this and returned it to "Bishop" as "Right Reverend" is not a term associated with Irish Roman Catholic Bishops. "Most Reverend" would be more accurate, but is not used in the show or Irish culture for that matter. As he is a fictional character anyway, it should be left as Bishop, as this is the only title mentioned in the show. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Howboutpete (talkcontribs) 11:22, 18 April 2007 (UTC).

Apart from "Your Grace"...
