- Two out of the three websites that WikiProject Cricket uses (Cricinfo, Cricketarchive, Howstat) as the main cricket resources, use the name Bishan instead of Bishen.
- On Google 9740 pages found for Bishan Singh Bedi 971 pages found for Bishen Singh Bedi
- Bishan is the proper transliteration of the name in Hindi (and also other Indian languages).
If you oppose this move, please provide a detailed explaination of why you do. Of course, Bishen Singh Bedi will become a redirect. Thanks DaGizza Chat (c) 05:13, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
- Support I've always thought it was Bishen, but I'm perfectly happy to have common usage trump me Sam Vimes 10:38, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
- Actually, if you give the name as a single string to google "Bishan Singh Bedi" gets 671, "Bishan Bedi" 509, "Bishen Singh Bedi" 766 and "Bishen Bedi" 1210. So there is not that big a difference. CMJ's 'Who's who' has it as Bishen. Wisden seems to use only the surname. Not sure what Indian Cricket (annual) says about it. But since CI/CA goes with Bishan, I don't have a problem with the move. We just have to mention the alternate spelling in the very first line. Tintin Talk 14:27, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Balance
Needs more on the cricket IMHO. At the moment, it seems from this article that BB was famous for shouting too much about Murali, rather than his spin bowling. I do believe he held the Indian record for Test wickets at the point at which he retired. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 02:05, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
