Bishwanath (Bengali: বিশ্বনাথ) is an Upazila of Sylhet District in the Division of Sylhet, Bangladesh.

Bishwanath is located at 24.8083° N 91.7639° E . It has 26346 units of house hold and total area 214.5 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Bishwanath has a population of 169730. Males constitute are 50.99% of the population, and females 49.01%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 83794. Bishwanath has an average literacy rate of 33.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
