Bishop of Dorking

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bishop of Dorking is a title given to a suffragan bishop in the Church of England Diocese of Guildford; which is within the Province of Canterbury, England.[1]

The title takes its name after the county town of Guildford in Surrey. The suffragan bishop had been appointed for the Diocese of Winchester, but since reoganisation in the Church of England in 1927, Dorking now comes under the jurisdiction of the Diocesan Bishop of Guildford.
