Bishan Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bishan Park is a major park in Singapore, located in the popular heartland of Bishan. It sprawls over two plots of land, divided by Marymount Road. Park 1, which is meant for residents of Bishan, has far more amenities than its neighbour. These include a dog run, spa and restaurant, thus making it more popular for families. However, joggers find Bishan Park 2 a better choice and frequent the place.
[edit] Park 1
Park 1 can be easily accessed by Bishan residents by crossing a canal using one of the 3 bridges. There have been many upgrading works in the park, making it more well connected than Park 2. Cyclists enjoy using Park 1 simply because of the many junctions and turns. Amenities in the park include Asmara Spa and a Dog Run. The Dog Run is extremely popular in comparison to the spa, which gets few visitors. There is also a restaurant called Arcadia. There are 2 playgrounds at each end of the park and one football field. The two flower gardens are extremely beautiful and a popular photo-taking spot.
