Bischwiller (German: Bischweiler) is a town in the Bas-Rhin département, Alsace, France, 23 metres by rail north by east from Strasbourg. The population (as of 2005) was 11,696 [1]. The 1999 census population was 11,596 inhabitants living on a land area of 17.25 km² (6.66 sq mi).
