[edit] Discographical pedants corner

The Blakey A Night at Birdland albums originally appeared as 3 10"LPs and in the 1970s a third 12"LP volume of unissued material surfaced. As the recording was only available briefly as three volumes on two occasions, I have chosen to ignore this inconvenient fact in order to avoid an unnecessarily convoluted explanation.
