Without expansion, sourcing, notabilty assertions, etc, I will re-nominate this article for deletion myself. Right now, it is severely lacking. Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 01:41, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] I put this up, and it's not spam.
Well, I'm always trying to find out about software to sync my smartphone to mozilla's thunderbird, just like I sync outlook with it, and I found this Birdiesync software, and tried to find some info on wikipedia, as I always do, but there was none, so I created it.
It's not spam, I can assure you that. I did it on the best intention, to spread knowledge, as is wikipedia's purpose. I don't know much about it, that's why I was searching around and in wikipedia. Feel free to delete it, I don't care, but don't say it's spam because it's not and I'm very serious about this. I'm not that kind of person...
Now, lets for a moment pretend that it won't be deleted and we arrive at consensus that it's not spam. If someone is really interested in this software, like I was (but were unwilling to pay), and wants to buy it, how will the person arrive at the website? It certainly won't be from wikipedia, what should be the greatest source of information, because you deleted the link. Maybe this is the way it should be, but then will we delete Microsoft's link from the Windows article?
If I check the article on Sony, for example, there's the link to sony.net, and not because of this it's considered spam. I understand the notability issue but I bet there are not many people with a smartphone and the need to sync with mozilla's thunderbird, so it isn't that notable. I did it with good intentions, not spammy intentions. Just my thoughts about this. Take care. :) Yubal (talk) 23:18, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
