- Can I suggest that there be a link to the dino portal, since there is a certain amount of overlap between the two, and what are we going to have, selected species or selected biography? Also, I think a topcs section would be good, it could have links to all the families and orders as well as many of the more obscure articles not in the template footer. Because of personal reasons, I will not be able to update the portal until tomorrow. I have edited the portal so that it displays last week's information. If you would like to update tonight, feel free do to so, but be careful. Remember that this version of the portal is not correct: {{CURRENTWEEK}} is consistently replaced with 34. --Birdman1 talk/contribs 00:27, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

There are simply not enough high-quality pages for this portal to display on a weekly basis. Therefore, starting this weekend, this portal's content will be randomized. I will add new featured articles to the stock from which the random-content-displayer draws. See Portal:Cats for an idea of what I mean to do. Until I implement these changes (this weekend), the portal will stay as it is. The changes will practically eliminate the need for maintenance. --Birdman1 talk/contribs 16:07, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
