The first release by Jeremy Greenspan and Johnny Dark as the Junior Boys was released on 12" in 2003 on KIN Records. The single was quickly appreciated by many in the electro pop genre from their native Canada, who along with Tiga were starting to popularize the subtle electronic timbres with pop-centric lyrical delivery.
The two B-sides "Unbirthday" and the "Birthday" remix by Austrian guitarist Fennesz were later released on the U.S. version of Last Exit.
