Birdmen

The Birdmen are an alien species that appear in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. They originally cohabited the Earth with humans, but when the humans turned to hunting the Birdmen, the Birdmen fled to the stars. Out of fear of being hunted, the Birdmen stopped flying and eventually lost their wings and the ability to fly. Yet they have the instinct, making them incredibly skilled starfighter pilots.

The Birdmen look like humans, but have feathers on their head instead of hair and speak in an archaic fashion. The last known specimen of the Birdmen is Buck Rogers' friend, Hawk whose entire tribe was killed by drunk humans.

The Birdmen are Buck Rogers in the 25th Century interpretation of the popular mythological Bird People.
