{{bio-cats|birth year|death year|occupation|name sort}}

For example:

{{bio-cats|1713|1803|French actors|Dumesnil, Marie}}

expands to

{{DEFAULTSORT:Dumesni, Marie}}
[[Category:1713 births]]
[[Category:1803 deaths]]
[[Category:French actors]]

This just saves a little typing when entering a simple biography.

[edit] Exceptions

If the "Birth Year" or "Death Year" parameters are left blank, the template will add the categories, Category:Year of birth missing and Category:Year of death missing, respectively.
