[edit] Nature of the term

is biorobotics just another umbrella term for biotech?Joeyjojo 03:33, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

Look up biorobotics on goggle: the term is used in university robotics to refer to biologically inspired robotics research. Biorobotics is used in sci-fi to refer to biotechnology the way it will be in say 50-100+ years from now: if the creation of completely artificial multiple cellular life forms that puts the issue of what is and is not human and deserving of human rights up in your face was possible with today’s biotechnology, I would say yes biorobotics is a blanket term for biotech, but its not possible at this time, so no its not. --BerserkerBen 05:36, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Bioroid

If anyone can come up with the earliest date the term was created please do so, I thought it was 1988 but I guess not. Please validate your claim with some form of evidence though. --BerserkerBen 05:36, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

A proposal here French, but you should be able to understand the first part. Not exactly what you wanted, but still… Reply to David Latapie 20:57, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
