Is the text of the BWC available at Wikisource? If it is this page should link there and if it isnt it would be much appreciated if someone would add it. freestylefrappe 23:57, Jun 5, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Updating the BTWC and relevant pages
Hello,
I am a postgraduate student working for a disarmament research centre in the UK. My project is on biological weapons prohibition and how it can be comprehensively achieved.
As part of the project I am looking to significantly update the BTWC page and its relevant pages (such as VEREX, CBMs,). This will include an historical overview of the BTWC progression as well as analysis of on-going issues.
If anyone else is considering updating this page please get in touch with me. Regards, Richard Elliott,

[edit] Source for the following
There seems to be no source for the following content and seems to be made from sensasionalist bullshit.
Even though the U.S. has signed this treaty, they are still making and stockpiling tons of man made and altered viruses to become extremely deadly. The United States also made an altered smallpox virus and were it ever leaked out, there could be worldwide death.
Thanks.

- I doubt it would be 'tons'. Russia and the US currently have stockpiles of smallpox - it is an acknowledged fact - but nobody desperate for them to get rid of them, since samples are needed to develop vaccines (and consequently their retention is legal under the non-hostile use clause) Kransky 09:35, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Censored by media"
"written by Alison Walker-Baird and censored from the major news medias"
Okay, I may not have much regard for news outlets at all, but there is no evidence provided for this statement. If there was 'censorship' poster needs to either cite evidence. Epthorn 18:44, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

- The argument does not belong here; this article is concerned with the Treaty itself, not biological weapons. Kransky 01:15, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
