[edit] Availability by state

I changed the heading to reflect the material being discussed and updated the sources. The industry and governmental standards are changing so rapidly that it makes little sense to include general, static discussions of what is being sold where. Pricing of biodiesel changes rapidly (associated commodity prices fluctuate wildly), so discussion of pricing, outside of date-specific newsworthy items, isn't useful.--E8 (talk) 21:14, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

I tried adding information about the availability of biodiesel to this page, but someone deleted it saying it was against the rules, which is weird because similar statements are already a part of this article. If we can't add information about the availability of biodiesel, then what is the purpose of this article? --WisTex (talk) 17:57, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

  • I commented on your talk page. There was at least one other omission from addition (aside from the notability issue), lack of a source. Wikipedia is not intended to list distributors of products; rather, Wikipedia may link or reference a noteworthy group that contains such a list. Consider that if each and every company selling Biodiesel was listed here, it would not only NOT be encyclopedic, but would be a huge list; this is well outside the intent of Wikipedia.--E8 (talk) 20:41, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
