The Bingel reaction is a popular method in fullerene functionalization. A malonate halide is often obtained in situ in a mixture of base and tetrachloromethane or iodine.

This being the English Wikipedia, can someone please translate this into English? Thanks. --P3d0 11:26, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

fair enough, if the text is incomprehensible it should be rewritten. On the other hand, although the text contains a lot of chemical jargon, all the keywords are linked to their corresponding pages if they are unclear. I hope my rewrite helped. V8rik 16:29, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Yep, that's better, thanks. I still don't understand it, but the links you've added can help me to figure it out. --P3d0 18:13, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
