I've been suffering from bulmia for several years. I'm engaged and he still has no clue. Sometimes I can eat infront of him and be fine. onther days, its so hard to keep it down. I just don't like that feeling, of being real full. I know its really hard to just quit. I've tried so many of times. Maybe I just need to try harder. I hear the only way to "fix" this is to go into a group home, an well I just can't afford to leave my home and family. An I sure as hell aint gonna tell everyone that I have this problem. I just want to let viewers know that your not the only one out there. That their is such thing as self healing. You have to look really hard and find that. You need to fined that thing that will make you mentally and physically strong enough to beat this and take control of your life again. GOOD LUCK! GOD BLESS -ann.

This sounds more like Bulimia than Binge Eating Disorder, but no matter what the diagnosis it's clear that you need to get some sort of help to develop a better way to maintain your weight in a healthy manner. If you're nervous about talking to a doctor about it, you might be more comfortable in a support group or possibly just reading some books regarding eating disorders.

[edit] Merging Binge Eating in...
I Think merging in is a bad idea, binge eating is a sympthom of an eating disorder. this could be BED but it could also be a sympthom of bulimia nervosa or anorexia nervosa. BED is an eating disorder. so you would be merging to different things. Binge eating could be inserted, but should also have it's own page.

[edit] I vote NO to merging.
I definitely do NOT think these articles should be merged. Binge eating and binge eating disorder are two separate things. For one thing, binge eating can be part of other eating disorders, including bulimia nervosa and anorexia nervosa (binging or binging and purging subtype). The distinction between the disorder and the act of binge eating is important, and needs to be upheld here. Melange fiesta 21:43, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merging
I'm removing the merging template since there seems to be no support for it. — Craigtalbert 06:37, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Is Binge eating disorder a real illness?
To me, the definition of the illness is
- feel personal suffering
- threating to others' life
- risks of losing personal life, if not treated
Other than these critera, it is not a disorder but a personal habit —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.62.138.24 (talk) 03:03, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Oooooops, I have to redefine the second criterium....otherwise....
most of people on the earth have got illness
The second criterium should be THREATNING TO OTHER HUMAN'S LIFE, for...the...time...being —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.62.138.21 (talk) 04:32, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
