Binsted

Binsted is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 1,635. The village is about four miles east of Alton. The churchyard of the parish church, the Holy Cross, contains the grave of Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of Alamein who spent his retirement in Alton.
