Binibining Pilipinas 2008 is the 44th edition of the Philippines' largest beauty pageant. The coronation night took place on March 8th at the Araneta Coliseum and broadcast by GMA Network in the Philippines, and by GMA Pinoy TV internationally on March 9th.
24 official candidates were chosen to compete. The event was hosted by Paolo Bediones and Charlene Gonzales-Mulach. 2005 Miss International Precious Lara Quigaman was the pageant's correspondent.
Margaret Nales Wilson, Bb. Pilipinas-WORLD 2007, crowned Janina San Miguel as her successor and the Philippines' representative to the Miss World 2008 pageant. Anna Theresa Licaros, Bb. Pilipinas-UNIVERSE 2007, relinquished her title to Jennifer Barrientos, while Bb. Pilipinas-INTERNATIONAL 2007 Nadia Lee Shami passed her crown on to Patrcia Fernandez, who will represent the country in Miss International 2008.
