[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Tuxpaint-0-9-14-splash.png
Thank you for uploading Image:Tuxpaint-0-9-14-splash.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Dethomas 23:43, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Tuxpaint-a-girls-bedroom.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Tuxpaint-a-girls-bedroom.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 02:56, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey Bill!
Good to see you here, I was wondering if you'd ever make it onto the wiki. I've pretty much given up on editing my own site, I do everything over here now.
Now a question... check out this link. Did Jeff contact you in order to use the Star Raiders images? My guess is that he downloaded them from here on the wiki, but the article doesn't mention this.
If they were downloaded from here, he failed to mention this, and that's a major no-no. Thus my curiosity.

- Yeah, that's what I figured. (sigh). I'll drop them a not-nasty note. Maury 21:08, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Tuxpaint-stamps-example.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Tuxpaint-stamps-example.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:22, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent external link edits
Bill, unfortunately your recent additions to the external links sections of several articles had to be removed. They violated policy for external links, and the video game article guidelines on unsuitable content. Modern homebrew games and clones violate copyrights of the owner, and can not be linked to on Wikipedia. The fact that they're your own games simply compounded the issue. --Marty Goldberg (talk) 20:22, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed deletion of Linux Users' Group of Davis
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Linux Users' Group of Davis, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? B. Wolterding (talk) 22:36, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
