Greetings from Los Alamos, New Mexico. I'm a former nuclear physicist turned worthless line manager at Los Alamos National Laboratory, but all of my articles are submitted as a private citizen, not a lab employee. 55 years old, married with two sons. Recreational passions are hiking and backpacking (which has much to do with the things I contribute here), classical music (particularly choral music), and competitive just-about-everything. If you happen to frequent the Internet Chess Club, drop me a message there -- my handle is MeisterZinger and I run the "TriviaBot" trivia contests, for which I get lots of inspiration from Wikipedia articles!

While I contribute only occasionally here, I'm also a regular on Wikitravel and recently became an admin there. There are a few other Wikis that I hang out on as well -- this Wiki thing can be addictive!
