Seems non-notable (and note different spelling in article). Second runner-up in a TV contest? Fancruft. — Bill 15:49, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep, on the grounds Wikipedia is Not Paper. Much as I hate them, I think that the finalists in major reality TV programmes are just about notable. Darksun 18:14, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Redirect to Canadian Idol. Gamaliel 18:42, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Change vote to keep based on updated version of article. Gamaliel 02:54, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • It pains me greatly to say this, but the guy has parlayed his also-ran status into an album and has had Top 40 hits. In fact, he's number two on the MuchMoreMusic charts this very week, behind only Maroon 5 -- check here if you don't believe me. Can't stand him (nor can I stand anyone associated with that whole idiotic slice of pop culture übercrap), but he's a definite keep. I ain't gonna be the one to expand the substub, but he's a valid entry. Bearcat 20:55, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • If you do decide to delete this one, please also delete the article on William Hung; otherwise keep. Auric The Rad 23:59, Oct 10, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Not notable. --Improv 01:21, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Having the current number two hit single in all of Canada doesn't make him even a bit notable? Wow. Reluctantly, I did expand the stub as a result of this vote, even though I said I wasn't going to. Bearcat 02:22, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, hit singles and a major part in a popular tv show are pretty notable siroχo 03:55, Oct 11, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Ambi 07:05, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - In my view, musicians deserve articles if they meet at least one of the following criteria:
    • hit records especially in a Wikipedia en country - this fellow has a hit record in Canada; or
    • winning significant music award - Grammy, Juno, ARIA award etc;or
    • is a member of a hall of fame for the relevant genre - rock and roll, country etc; or
    • is otherwise notable - a Google search shows nearly 5,000 entries so far [1] and has a rudimentary All Music Guide article as well as appearing on a top-rated television program. Capitalistroadster 09:10, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Like it or not, he's a star. Gwalla | Talk 03:08, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
