Talk:Bill Henrickson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page is categorized under fictional Mormons, yet, the family is not Mormon. I would just go ahead and delete the category but I'm afraid a dispute would occur. NorthernThunder 20:07, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm going to go ahead and delete the "ficional mormons" category (I put it in there)... I forgot that even though some of this characters beliefs are generally based on the Mormon principles, HBO has gone out of its was to make clear that the characters in Big Love practicing polygamy are not Mormon. As for merging, I can see why that may be necessary. I have no objection. Prezboy1 15:43, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
I agree. I also don't think a TV show character biography needs to be given its own "article" on Wikipedia. Why not merge it with the "Big Love" article? Kroessman 09:36, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think it's a good idea to merge this article. We've only had one season so far, but if the show continues to multiple seasons as expected, then there will likely be much more info about the main characters (see Category:The Sopranos characters). So I'm suggesting that we will have to split them up again if we merge them now.--Mike Selinker 20:58, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- I oppose merging this article - Bill Henrickson is the star of the show and I'm certain this article can continue to grow.--Opark 77 23:30, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Although as an "IP" I have no voice, I also oppose merging. Regarding the removed Mormon cat, on the show Henrickson is portrayed as formerly being of the LDS Church (after being kicked out of Juniper Creek as a teenager and before his wife's cancer 5+ years ago), so I'm not sure if the cat is appropriate or not.--216.125.50.226 19:03, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Do we have any sourcing on the birth date? It is unusually precise. If so, we can add to Big Love. If not, it has to go.--Mantanmoreland 18:25, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the May 17 is the same as Bill Paxton, but Henrikson is three years younger. Either someone heard some sort of "49 years old/almost 50" remark or something, and assumed the date was the same as the actor (I hate when people do that), or the production team placed the date on an on-screen driver's licence, taken from Paxton's birth date but making him a couple years younger.--Tim Thomason 02:09, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
