[edit] Bill Cunningham, William Cunningham

We need an entry on Bill Cunningham, American writer, born 1901 in Oklahoma, the older brother of Agnes "Sis" Cunningham, for whom you have an entry -- then you will have a link. He worked on the Oklahoma state guide book in the WPA in the 1930s -- you can easily check this out in major sources such as The Dream and the Deal (Mangione) and books on the Federal Writers Project. He wrote three books published in his lifetime: The Green Corn Rebellion (1935), The Real Book about Daniel Boone (1952), and Pretty Boy, a life of the outlaw Pretty Boy Floyd. An early novel, Townbroke, was never published but is mentioned by sister Sis in Red Dust and Broadsides, 1999, her Joint Autobiography with Gordon Friesen. Bill also taught at Commonwealth College. I have mislaid his date of death.
