Information on Bil Jackson's position in the Colorado Symphony and his competition success is common knowledge and will pretty much appear in any biography written about him.Lightwc 19:55, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

In my opinion Jackson is one of the leading artists on his instrument in the world. Though relatively unknown, he is an important artistic contributor to the cultural mileu of our country, not just another "band leader." This is, of course, opinion, but an highly educated one as I was also a professional orchestral clarinetist for many years. His list of achievements is substantial and his credential are of the highest order, including working with top artists, recording, and performing in top venues. It is my intention to add my personal knowledge of Jackson's achievements to this article and to do the necessary research to fill in details and to add depth the biography. A Bil Jackson biography deserves a place on Wikipedia.Lightwc 20:26, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Other items to be added included in the future are awards won, his professional association with world class artists, and his teaching credentials.Lightwc 21:08, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

He doesn't seem to meet Wikipedia guidelines for notability or music. If that can be shown it needs more work. --Sandahl 03:39, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
From my brief review, I think he does. Here's his faculty info page at the University of Northern Colorado: [1] I'm going to remove the speedy deletion notice and add some cleanup tages. You're welcome to take this to Articles for deletion if you disagree and think that it warrants further deletion discussion -- Samir 07:10, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
This is the revision I saw when it was listed as a speedy with hangon [2]. In it's current state he seems to meet notability guidelines. It needs to be categorized and referenced.--Sandahl 16:12, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
