Biltzar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
'Biltzar' is a Basque word meaning, "parliament", "assembly" or "meeting".
The Biltzar Ttipia ("small committee") was the governing organ of the party Euskadiko Ezkerra.
The Basque name of the Basque Parliament is Eusko Legebiltzarra ("Basque Law-assembly").
Batzarre has a similar meaning, thought the etymology is slightly different: biltzar comes from bildu (to gather), while batzar derivates from batu (to unite or unify).
