Billy Silverman was a professional wrestling referee who worked for World Championship Wrestling.
[edit] Career
Billy Silverman (born William Daley) started in pro wrestling in 1990 as a referee for International Championship Wrestling in New England. Joining the World Wrestling Federation in 1997, Silverman made his only WrestleMania appearance at WrestleMania 13. He eventually was signed by World Championship Wrestling in the late 1990's and refereed there until WCW was purchased by Vince McMahon in 2001.
He returned to the World Wrestling Federation and became a member of The Alliance. He left soon after due to hazing by John Layfield and filed a lawsuit against the WWF because of it. He was also catching flack from management because he would trade in his Coach plane tickets for 1st Class tickets and pay the difference with his own money.
Silverman appeared in the 2000 movie Ready To Rumble.
