Billy Mamaril (born May 21, 1981 in Bocaue, Bulacan) is a Filipino professional basketball player currently playing with the Barangay Ginebra Kings. He plays in the forward and center positions. Like his father this player is known for his physical and rugged defense.
[edit] About the Player
Billy is a shotblock artist that can help Ginebra become a more intimidating squad in the coming season, Mamaril was also part of the Reavis-Hatfield package in the three-team multi-player deal in the off-season and will be in his third team in four seasons in the league.
The 26-year-old forward averaged 7.5 points and 5.1 rebounds for the Tigers last season and his 1.2 blocks per game was No. 6 in the PBA last year among locals. But playing on a team with a surplus of big men might affect his exposure and the extent of his value is still uncertain though Mamaril does not mind playing backup to his more established teammates like Eric Menk and Romel Adducul.
