A billiard room (also billiards room, pool room, snooker room) is a recreation room, such as in a house or recreation center, with a billiards, pool or snooker table. The term is sometimes also used as synonymous with "pool hall".

Such a room requires enough space around the table to accommodate the range of a stroke of the cue from all angles and account for chairs, the cue rack and any other furniture that is or will be present. Overhead lights are also usually installed.

  • For a 7 ft. long table, the minimum size room is approximately 15.5 ft. by 19 ft.
  • For an 8 ft. table, the minimum size room is approx. 16 ft. x 20 ft.
  • For a 9 ft. table, the minimum size room is approx. 16.5 feet by 20.5 ft.
