Billawar is a town and a notified area committee in Kathua district in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, India.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Billawar had a population of 4905. Males constitute 57% of the population and females 43%. Billawar has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 78% and female literacy of 58%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
