Billabong Pro Teahupoo 2006 is a professional surfing competition of the ASP World Tour is being held in Taiarapu, Tahiti starting May 8th.. Originally the event was scheduled to start on May 4 but the waves were not at their expected peak. This was true of the following days until a swell made its way late in the day on the 7th. The winner in 2005, Kelly Slater, is coming off another win in the Rip Curl Pro, but Andy Irons, the 2004 world champion promises to provide some stiff competition.
