William E. Stearns (March 20, 1853 in Washington, D.C. - December 30, 1898 in Washington, D.C.), was a professional baseball player who played pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1871-1875. He would play for the Washington Olympics, Washington Nationals, Washington Blue Legs, and Hartford Dark Blues.
