Bill Mlkvy

William P. "Bill" Mlkvy (born January 19, 1931 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania) is a former professional basketball player who spent his one year career with the Philadelphia Warriors (now the Golden State Warriors). Philadelphia drafted Mlkvy with the fourth overall pick of the 1952 NBA Draft out of Temple University.

Bill Mlkvy will forever be known for the unique nickname he gained while playing for the Temple University Owls, Bill "The Owl Without a Vowel" Mlkvy. While playing at Temple Mlkvy scored 73 points against Wilkes University on March 3, 1951.
