Bill Hodges

Bill Hodges is a former college basketball coach.

Hodges is a graduate of Purdue University. In 1977, he took over at Indiana State University. He would lead the Sycamores to a second place finish in the 1979 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. During that year, he won several coach of the year awards, including the UPI's and AP's. After the 1982 season, he resigned from ISU. He would also coach at Long Beach State University, Georgia College & State University, Tennessee Tech University, and Mercer University.

Coach Hodges served briefly as a school teacher in a small town in Georgia where he earned his popular nickname "Wild Bill".
