William C. "Bill" Harris was born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Harris is a prolific and innovative artist who is equally adept at handling large-scale murals as well as intimate portraits. Currently working with oil on canvas, his subjects include a range from silent narratives to still-life paintings, all of which reinterpret the effects of color, light and line.
His work is easily identifiable and extremely original, not only for striking color combinations and light effects, but also for intriguing and thought-provoking subject matters.
Harris has shown his work in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, California and Mexico. Private collectors boast from Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and England.
Harris’ studio at LibertyTown Arts Workshop in historic downtown Fredericksburg gives an exceptional opportunity to meet and observe the artist at work.
Harris resides in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with his wife, Karen, and their three sons.
