Bill Burger

Bill Burger (born 1958) is Vice President of Marketing at the Copyright Clearance Center, the world's leading provider of content licensing solutions for corporations, colleges and universities and former journalist.

He was the Editor-in-Chief at the Stanford Daily newspaper[1] and was Senior Editor of the American based news magazine, Newsweek, for 13 years.

Burger grew up in the northern Illinois city of Belvidere. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University. From 1979 to 1980, he was Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Daily.

Burger was Senior Editor from 1981 until 1994. During this time, he was based in Newsweek offices in London, New York, and Tokyo. He was the magazine's European economics editor in the early 1990's.
