Bill Brooks is a Canadian politician who was the Liberal Party of Canada Candidate in Langley - Election 2006.

In addition to his political career, Bill Brooks is a Canadian marketing pioneer, having spent the past 30 years developing marketing tools and programs across Canada. One of the founders of Broadburst Mobile Marketing Solutions, Brooks is at the forefront of the proximity marketing sector which includes WiFi and Bluetooth Wireless Technology solutions (aka Bluecasting). A founding partner of BigBoard Marketing (formerly the PEM Group) with offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and Ottawa, Brooks background is in syndicated radio programming, and event marketing. Known for his creativity and strategic planning, Bill’s innovative integrated marketing approach has been implemented by some of canada’s best-known corporations, sports organizations, and government agencies. Often quoted in Canada’s leading marketing publications, Bill is quickly becoming one of the leading experts in the country on mobile messaging applications.

Education: Post-graduate diploma in Community Education from Mohawk College in Ontario, Certificate in Marketing from Brock University

Career Background: Managing partner of BigBoard Marketing Inc. Was an Aquatics Director in Toronto with the YMCA, and then Director of Community and International Development in St. Catherine's. Established his own marketing company, The PEM Group in 1986

Community Activities: Has served as a member of the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Committee, and is currently the Communications Chair of the Langley Central Rotary Club. Member of the Fraser Valley Wine Festival Committee, the Langley in Action Steering Committee, Co-Chair of the 'Langley Tip n'Taste' Event. Former Chair of UNICF Canada Communications Committee and Board Member

Political History

Federal: Served on the executive from 1995 - 2003 and was the candidate in 2000 for the South Surrey-White Rock-Langley Federal Liberal Riding Association. Founding member of FLAG, the Federal Liberal Action Group.

Provincial: Has been a member of the executive of the Surrey-White Rock B.C. Liberal Association and was the president of the riding association from 1996-98. From 1997-98 he was deputy-chair of the Presidents' Council, BC Liberal Party
