Bill Barisoff

Bill Barisoff is a BC Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Born in Oliver, he represents the riding of Penticton-Okanagan Valley, which he has held since 1996, when he defeated former MLA Bill Barlee by a narrow margin.
He is currently the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, a job he was elected to by vote of the Legislature in 2005.
Previously, he served as Minister of Water, Land and Air Protection (2004-2005) as well as Minister of Provincial Revenue (2001-2004). He was a local School Trustee and owned a trucking company prior to his involvement in provincial politics.[1]
