Bilddagboken

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bilddagboken (translates to photodiary) is a Swedish virtual community where users can upload photographs and present these to other members. The community has succeeded well on a virtual community market in Sweden that is otherwise considered as rather full, primarily because it is aimed entirely on images, something that on other communities is more of a subsection to the main idea. The page is, according to themselves, Swedens largest and fastest growing website[1]. No statistic to back this up is presented. The page has about 10 000 and 60 000 members logged in at any given time.

On the 15th of October it was confirmed that Lunarstorm bought 40 % of Bilddagboken.[2]

On the 29th of October 2007 the community passed more than 100 million uploaded images.[3].
