Coordinates: Bilara is a city and a municipality in Jodhpur district in the state of Rajasthan, India.
Bilara is a Persian word derived from bilor which is the name of a diamond.It is also used in Urdu and Punjabi languages for 'something which is extremely glittery'.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Bilara had a population of 38,650. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Bilara has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 73% and female literacy of 40%. 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
