[edit] Removing prod
I'm removing the prod tag from this article. I admit that this is somewhat of a borderline case, but I think it is just notable enough. Aside from being somewhat (but not totally) unique, there are a fair amount of Google hits and a couple of current news articles [1]. Further, there are actually a few BikeShare programs beyond the one in Toronto. So it's conceivable for the article to be expanded to cover a wider range of the world. ScottW 00:34, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Proposing merge
I had set out to rewrite this page to focus on the general idea of bike share programs instead of just focusing on the Toronto program. However, I found that this topic is already covered in Community_bicycle_program. Further, there is also a page containing a list_of_community_bike_programs which happens to list the Toronto program discussed in this article. So, I'm proposing that some of the information from this article not already contained in list of community bike programs and Community bicycle program be merged to the list of community bike programs and then have this page redirect to Community_bicycle_program.
Please feel free to note any suggestions or objections here. ScottW 16:05, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- I haven't seen any objections to the proposed merge so I'm going to start with that tomorrow or thereabouts. ScottW 23:51, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- So, I was later than tomorrow or thereabouts. But as of today, I can't find anything to indicate that this program is unique to the University of Toronto. From what I can tell, this article is about a hub placed in the univerisity. If this is the case there is nothing to merge here. What is already in list_of_community_bike_programs should be sufficient. I'm going to go ahead and redirect this article to community_bicycle_program. If anyone has any objections, feel free to address them here. ScottW 02:58, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
