[edit] Bhangra Blowout and South Asian Background
Bikram Keith got his first break after becoming Bhangra Blowout Deejay Champion in 2004 and then successfully defending his title in 2005. The New York Times and the Washington Post have called Bhangra Blowout the largest South Asian event in North America [1] and Bikram Keith stole the show twice before retiring from the competition after his second consecutive Deejay Battle victory. Bikram Keith is often credited as one of the first deejays to spin fusion acts such as Jay Sean, Juggy D and Raghav in the U.S. After cementing his place as one of the most recognized South Asian deejays in the United States, Bikram took the mainstream by storm.
