It says his pants require 72 yards of denim, and I think it might be better to say "square yards", but I'm not sure how denim is measured. Any input?Davemcarlson 02:25, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

A yard of material usually means a 36 inch length of the fabric from a standard width bolt of the fabric. The "standard" width varies depending on the type of fabric, manufacturer, etc. It could be anything from 24 inches wide to 60 inches wide. So, to say 72 square yards may be inaccurate, but just 72 yards is vague. Maybe some one else will know how to improve the accuracy of this statement. -Nv8200p talk 12:20, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
