How about providing some last names? There are several homonyms, that is, some first names appear in several shows. It almost looks like it's the same person participating time and again. Regards, Redux 13:36, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

If no one will say anything, I will start adding the last names that I am able to find out. Redux 18:16, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
I think it's a good idea... I looked for some surnames but I couldn't find them. But it's nice to have it. So, you can go on! fizzerbear 04:08, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Almost a year later...but again, please try to add last names for the contestants. I expect those would be easier to find at this time. Redux 01:26, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Brazillians who might wish to add information to this article, please be so kind as to check your grammar and translations before making any changes. Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dekh (talk • contribs) 18:49, January 4, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comparing BBB with other Big Brothers

I think it would be interesting to add a section comparing BBB with other Big Brothers. For example, the use of the word "Big Brother" itself, which seems to be commonly used as a kind of "character" in most versions (resembling the original meaning from "1984"), while in Brazil the term is used (bizarrely, I think) to designate the participants themselves, even going so far as calling the female participants "big sisters". Also, it could be useful to add some note about the remarkably low level of nudity (always accidental, as far as I have seen) and sexual content (almost non-existent) in BBB, in comparison with other versions of the show. [edit] Templates

I added the update and copyedit templates.

Some passages currently still refer to season 7 in the present or even future tenses, when the article itself already shows who was the winner.

As for copyedit, I think it would be good if a native English speaker could edit the text (mainly rewrite parts of it, really). While the English is mostly not outright wrong, the quality fluctuates considerably, and it often reads weirdly.

Also, I just removed a few cases of vandalism in the form of depreciative nicknames. These were in Portuguese, and therefore wouldn't be recognizable by most readers and editors. If there aren't enough Portuguese-speaking editors to regularly check the page for vandalism, I suggest that nicknames should be dropped entirely. AoS1014 01:43, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Social impact

BBB is a complete lose of time, an alienation, a crime for a country where many people don't know who to vote, belive in what the Party says, whether to be true or not. That belives socialism is about friendship not Oppression, that can't see the true even if it had pink-purple neon lights all over, are blinde by ignorance. BBB is one of the things that shouldn't exist right on a election year, BBB is a kind of evil ignorance that must be killed at any cost, or the price we will pay gotta be too high!!!

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Big Brother Brasil.png

Image:Big Brother Brasil.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
