[edit] Reordering the sections

In looking at the overall order of the article, I think it could be improved by moving some sections higher in the page. First of all, the "House Calls" section is a somewhat off-topic way of leading off because it's a very minor element of the show. It belongs towards the end, and the "Chronology" and "HouseGuests" sections should start the main article following the intro. And the "Voting History" table deserves to be up closer to the people, with the "Ratings" section dropped below "America's Player". I rearranged the entire page in my Sandbox and the table of contents is copied here.

   * 1 Chronology
   * 2 HouseGuests
         o 2.1 Amber
         o 2.2 Carol

I feel this will greatly improve the flow of the article and have the more important items higher on the page. It may not be perfect, but I do see lots of improvements in it. Thanks. --Mtjaws 18:29, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

I like the idea however I would make one change and that is to move the Voting History table to below the Interactive Options section, because AP is referred to numerous times in the Voting History table and if people are going through the page top to bottom, I think it would make more sense to have it that way. - Rjd0060 19:23, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
With things quiet now, I made the reordering changes, including Rjd0060's suggestion to put Voting History below America's Player. That makes sense to me too. Thanks. --Mtjaws 15:36, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Daniele's age

someone should take off the part in Daniele's bio that says that she technically broke the rules because she was twenty since this is the second time that they allow someone under the age limit (Michelle was 19 in season 4) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.154.24.26 (talk) 12:53, 12 September 2007 (UTC) yeah he was 19, but the rules then were that you had to be over 18. Now it's 21Xylogirl07 13:02, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Xylogirl107 is correct. I believe this information should stay. It IS referenced, and confirmed by CBS.com. It is a very interesting piece of information that I believe fits the article. - Rjd0060 14:22, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
She didn't necessarily break the rules, and perhaps it can be reworded slightly to reflect this - I believe that Daniele was allowed to apply due to the nemesis twist - can we find some information somewhere from CBS explaining any of this? - supremegoddessofall 23:02, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
She did technically break the rules. I agree that CBS and/or BB Producers allowed her to break the rule because of the twist, but she did not meet an official eligibility requirement. It is stated as an official Eligibility Requirement for Big Brother that "... 6. You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application. ...". If you havent seen the website for yourself, you can look here Its official - CBS.com.- Rjd0060 23:32, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
No, I mean did she intentionally falsify her application or submit an application on her own knowing that she was underage? Or did she get asked to apply due to her father being scripted in order to meet the nemesis plotline? Believe me, I'm not a Daniele fan, but saying that she "broke the rules" implies that she was deliberately deceptive. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't - that's why we need a source specific to *Daniele's* application rather than just the show rules themselves. - supremegoddessofall 01:46, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
I see what you are saying now. I misunderstood before. I am sure that they (BB) wanted her for the plot. I don't know what it could be changed to, but I definitely think that it should stay on there, in some form. Do you have any suggestions on what to change it to? - Rjd0060 01:49, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Big Brother After Dark

Big Brother After Dark takes place from 9 P.M. to Midnight PT in the Big Brother House in L.A., but it's televised with a three hour tape delay on the west coast. It's more accurate to say that it's on from Midnight to 3 A.M. ET & PT.69.181.156.67 11:35, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

I changed it to "... is carrying a spin-off of the series called Big Brother: After Dark, which airs nightly from 9 p.m.—12 a.m. (EST / PST). The show is live for the viewers on the East coast, however viewers on the West are viewing a taped version. ..." I don't know if this is worded perfectly, but it's good enough until somebody with a better idea comes along. - Rjd0060 13:50, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
It doesn't air 9pm-12am on the East (or West either, since it is tape delayed). It actually airs 12am-3am. I'll make the change now. --Mtjaws 16:41, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

I was in the process of it, and trying to figure out (via edit conflict) the best place for the "actual/local House hours" being shown. Putting it right after the "PST" (which should be EDT/PDT now that I think about it) makes it look like we can't do the math because 12a-3a Pacific isn't the same as 9p-12a BB House time, which I felt was being suggested before I moved it. It could probably be improved further so I'm open to other's suggestions/attempts. --Mtjaws 17:08, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Looks good now. Thanks for your help with it. - Rjd0060 17:49, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Voting Table Suggested Change

ScottAHudson, you should have waited before changing them all back. I asked about this change because I have had people that I know who are new to Wikipedia ask me if the third place finisher was evicted why doesn't that box say evicted? By putting that the third place finisher was evicted solves problems like this since the last two houseguests who are not HoH are nominated by default. I am in the process of changing them all back. If there is a decision that third place should say "Nominated" instead of "Evicted" then we will change it back. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 15:13, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Why not have both, something like the table below? The article states:

"Dick was a finalist in the selection process for Seasons 5 and 6.[citation needed] Dick and Daniele have started to mend their relationship, and Daniele has told him she loves him. Dick has said he will do anything for Daniele. An example of this when they were both nominated on Day 42. After Dick won the Power of Veto, he used it to save Daniele rather than himself. That was the first time in the history of Big Brother that a HouseGuest nominated for eviction used the Veto to remove the other person from the nomination block."

That is not true. Marcellas Reynolds removed Amy Crews from the block in Season 3 as stated below in another Wiki article:

"Marcellas was involved in one of the most shocking moments, in what is still considered one of the stupidest moves in the show's history. When Marcellas and Amy were nominated by Head of Household Jason, Marcellas won the Power of Veto contest. Seeming to believe that he had a agreement with HouseGuest Danielle, Marcellas chose not to use the veto on himself. However, Danielle did in fact vote to evict Marcellas, making it a 1-1 tie that was broken by HoH Jason who also voted to evict Marcellas, telling him he "should have used the veto". Until Season 8, this was the only time that a nominated HouseGuest won the Veto and did not use it on themselves. Marcellas still felt betrayed at Danielle four years later when they both appeared on Big Brother: All Stars and he found it difficult to talk to or be around her."Rodandjoyce 05:25, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
