Big Bunch of Bananas? I visit Sawtell regularly and have never heard of these, let alone seen them. Is someone having a laugh? Graham 04:26, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Hmmm, OK, it's real - [1]. I have seen these after all - I expected something a little more impressive. Does this really count as a Big Thing? Graham 04:28, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

This page lists "the Big Banana" as the first of Australia's Big things". Its not.If you actually follow the link to Australia's big things on the page, you will see that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.230.200.119 (talk • contribs)

Well it was surely the one which inspired people to make others rather than 'Ploddy' the diplodocus, there was bound to be some large sculptures before that. -- Astrokey44|talk 14:16, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
The whole point about "big things", as I see it, is that they are ridiculously large compared to their size in real life. "Ploddy" is simply a life size model of a Diplodocus dinosaur, so strictly speaking doesn't count. -Zamphuor 13:14, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Agreed with Zamphuor, He is totally correct. The Big Banana is the first "Big thing" , to be Recognised as a "big thing" and to be named as the first "Big thing". It is the "Big thing" . Wow, I said "Big thing" four time's then... tomauer 06:18, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
