Bigstone Cree Nation

the Bigstone Cree Nation is a First Nation in Alberta, Canada. They are a western branch of the large Cree Nation.

In 2005, there were 5,874 registered Bigstone Cree[1], of which 2,247 were living on reserve.[2]

The Bigstone Cree have six reserves established in Alberta, for a total of 21,066.6 hectares: Desmarais and Wabasca (multiple land tracts) in Wabasca, near Slave Lake and Jean Baptiste Gambler in northern Alberta, .
