[edit] Plot summary

The Battle of Solomon continues. Balls and GMs fight Gattle bombers. An unhappy Sleggar returns to ship for repairs on his G-Fighter. On the bridge Mirai looks concerned and Bright asks her through the radio what is wrong. He figures she’s concerned about Sleggar and tells her in private that he is willing to wait for her. He orders someone to relieve Mirai’s post so she can see Sleggar. Mirai finds Sleggar in the break room near the hangar, eating a hamburger.

An emotional Mirai tells him to be careful but can’t find the right words to express her feelings. Sleggar laughs and says she’s too good of a person to deserve him. Mirai says that isn’t true but Sleggar asks her to hold on to his mother’s ring while he’s out. A nearby explosion makes them move closer together in their inertia and Sleggar can‘t help kissing Mirai before leaving.

Inside the Fortress of Solomon, GMs and Balls destroy many Zakus and Rick Doms, but are soon destroyed by the Big Zam and its mega particle cannon. Inside it, Dozle wonders whether Zenna and her daughter Mineva made it to Granada.

M’Quve launches from Granada and spots a signal from Zenna Zabi’s shuttle. M’Quve says he’s got no time to rescue it but is convinced by his soldiers to take her aboard because it’s the right thing to do.

A squadron of GMs and Balls intercept the Big Zam and engage. A GM pilot fires at it but notices that its beam rifle shots are deflected by the hulking mobile armor. Amuro overhears on the radio reports about a monstrous mobile armor in the area, and goes to investigate. The battle is not in their favor, and Dozle orders all remaining mobile suits and ships to abandon Solomon. He’ll personally lead the remaining troops out of the fort.

On the Side 1 shoal zone, Admiral Tianem orders the remaining mirrors of the Solar System to be used again on Solomon.

In Solomon, Amuro follows the path of destruction left by Big Zam. Sayla returns to ship because her G-Fighter is damaged. Tianem orders the Solar System to be fired again, causing more damage to Solomon and its surrounding ships. Sleggar destroys a Gattle and a Musai. Amuro finds the Big Zam and Kai lands on top of it. He, Amuro and Sleggar notice the Big Zam’s I-field which deflects beam weaponry.

Once far from Solomon, Dozle fires a flare signaling the evacuation. Mirai turns the White Base to chase Big Zam. Dozle orders his two pilots to leave so he pilots alone to destroy the Federation’s flagship.

Amuro, Sleggar and Kai are chasing the Big Zam, which by now has destroyed a lot of Federation cruisers. Sleggar suggests docking with Amuro and together they form the G-Armor. Sleggar’s strategy is to attack from below and get to a close firing range that even the I-field won’t deflect.

The G-Armor charges from below but Dozle grapples the ship with the Big Zam’s legs. Amuro fires the Gundam’s beam rifle damaging the Big Zam. Dozle crushes the G-Fighter’s cockpit, killing Sleggar in the process. Amuro is irate and slices the mobile armor with his beam saber. Dozle is forced to bail out but won’t allow himself to be defeated. He starts shooting at the Gundam with a semiautomatic rifle. Amuro is bewildered by the madness of that man. His special abilities lets him see the manifestation of evil entrenched within Dozle‘s soul. Amuro escapes before the Big Zam explodes.

M’Quve officially announces the fall of Solomon, causing Zenna‘s grief for Dozle.

Aboard White Base, Mirai can’t accept the fact Amuro has told her that Sleggar was killed. The crew is speechless as Mirai walks away in tears. The battle has taken a toll on everyone aboard the ship and catch up in their sleep before their next mission.
